August Wrap-Up

Hi Navigators,

It’s that time where I take a look at the goals that I had set for the month and whether or not I reached them. This tactic has really helped improve my self-hatred and leaves a visual of my productivity. These are loose goals that are something to work toward and not necessarily what I must complete. So, if you want to see how I did for August 2018 – keep on reading!

An Interview With My Mom

Hi Navigators,

My parents kindly took my daughter over the weekend so that I could take a breather and recuperate from the challenges of parenting. A recharge here and there is a lifesaver, let me tell ya. Anyway, when we went to pick her up on Monday, I asked my mom if she could do a questionnaire that I found (on surprise, surprise) Pinterest!

I sat my mom down, little notebook in hand, and asked her these twenty questions – let me just tell you, this was an amazing experience because I really learned a lot.

So, without further ado – here is what our interview was!

Get To Know Me (#2)

Hi Navigators,

It’s Sunday evening as I sit to write this and I wanted to do something more useful but, honestly, I’m so exhausted that I just want to do a quick blog post. I have been working on writing a majority of my blog posts (as well as so many other things) on Sundays so everything feels so exhausting.

Anyway, I’m rambling again. I want to just sit and answer some questions that I found off of Pinterest, which appears to be another pulled from Tumblr (which was my first ever blogging platform) but this one inspired me because it used names for constellations and the universe as a question to ask. The “actual categories” are favorites, love/friends, and wishes. I’m really excited so let’s get started!

How Am I Doing With My Goals?

Hi Navigators,

I wanted to create this blog post back in June but, as you can tell, I didn’t get around to it. Oh well, better late than never, right?  Last year, I had this idea to make the outcome more productive. How many of us set New Years Resolutions to (almost) immediately abandon them? I know that I was one of those people. I decided to approach 2017 by creating a list of goals for the entire year and I did the same for 2018, hoping to experience the same success.

So, how am I doing for this year? Keep on reading to find out more about the ten goals that I had set for myself and what my current thoughts are with it.

Review: The Relationship Bible For Anxiety

Hi Navigators,

It should be no surprise that relationships are hard work; they can be difficult to get through and even more complicated to understand that sometimes you’re the one who needs to change your attitude and behavior to keep one going.

Recently, my husband and I found ourselves in a rough patch due to some anxiety that I was facing. I became hostile and was looking for something to help “fix my problem for me” and, as fate would have it, I came across a tweet asking for volunteers to read “The Relationship Bible For Anxiety” for free in exchange for a review.

Thank you to Harley Richardson for the opportunity! You can follow her on Twitter and purchase for $4.99 here.

Please note that this is an honest review. So, let’s get started.

I Faced My Fear Of Camping

Hi Navigators,

This is one of my favorite series that I have here on my blog. If you want to know more about this series in general then give this post a read. Fears are one of those things that each of us has; I don’t care how brave you say that you are, there is at least one thing that makes you nervous. For me, a lot of my fears are from the unknown, risking my life, or being put into a situation that makes me feel uncomfortable or out of control.

This post is all about the latest fear that I faced – going camping.

So, let’s get started!

Get To Know Me (#1)

Hi Navigators,

I don’t know about you – but when I first got on Facebook, everyone was answering questions in their notes and it was fun to share little things about me (and learn some about others) and then it shifted to the days on Tumblr where someone would send you a number and you answer that question accordingly.

Here’s the thing, I wanted to do something easy and fun to do for today. I like to answer these little questionnaires so I took to Pinterest and found one that I decided to give a try. I wasn’t asked any of these questions and I didn’t read through them so please be warned if there are any inappropriate ones.

There are sixty questions so without further ado, let’s get started!

What’s Been On My Mind Lately? (#3)

Hi Navigators,

It’s really important to take some time to organize your thoughts by what you call a “brain dump” – I like to take this in multiple different ways but I have done this here on my blog in a “What’s Been On My Mind Lately” where I talk about certain topics that I have been thinking about recently. So, let’s get started.

An Open Letter To… My Mental Illness

Hi Navigators,

I was going to write about something else for today but I’m not ready to face those thoughts and feelings this time. Maybe I will be ready to share next week but as of right now, I just can’t.

Here on my blog is the next in my “An Open Letter To…” series where I write a letter to a person (or in this case, a thing) about my thoughts or feelings on them. This time, I’m going to be sharing an open letter to my mental illness. Please keep in mind that this is just my personal experience and it can be triggering in certain points. So, without further ado, here is my letter to my mental illness.

I Learned About My Natal Chart

Hi Navigators,

One of my goals for 2018 has been to learn something new about myself. Straight up, I’m one of those people who love astrology and all the aspects that come along with it. Recently, I have been having a Try Living With Lucie marathon (which is really inspiring) where she tries different experiments for a five day period to discover how her life changes and what was learned from the experiment. I came across 5 Days of Astrology and not only did it lead me to this post but to inspire me to do a similar challenge here on my blog.

On this video, she is lead by the AstroTwins (Tali & Ophira Edut) and the beginning they explain to her the “cosmic blueprint” also known as your natal (or birth) chart. As someone who loves learning more about this sort of stuff – I wanted to learn what my birth chart was.

To read about what I learned, keep reading this post!
